This Privacy Policy explains how MAJC (“MAJC,” “we,” “us,” and/or “our”) collects, uses, and discloses information from individuals (“you” and/or “your”) who access and use our website, job board, community, academy, and related products and services (collectively, the “Platform”). Your use of the Platform is also subject to our Terms of Service.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will revise the date at the top of this page and, where required or appropriate, provide additional notice (for example, by email or an in-product message). We encourage you to review this policy whenever you use the Platform.
Personal information we collect
Information you provide to us
Registration and profile information
When you create a MAJC account or build your profile, we collect identifiers and contact information such as your name, email address, work history, skills, preferences, and other information you choose to add.
Communications
We collect information you provide when you contact us for support, respond to surveys, participate in promotions, subscribe to newsletters, or otherwise communicate with us — including your name, email address, and the content of your message.
Messages between members
When you communicate with other members through the Platform, we receive the content of those messages and metadata such as when they were sent or received.
Content you share
We collect content you submit on the Platform, such as posts, comments, reviews, job applications, and other community or profile activity.
Payment information
If you purchase a paid plan or other offering, payment details (such as card information) are collected by our third-party payment processor on our behalf. We do not store full payment card numbers on MAJC systems.

When you access or use the Platform, we and our service providers may automatically collect:
Usage and device information
Information about the device and browser you use (such as browser type, language, and operating system), pages you visit, links you click, referring URLs, general interaction data, and similar usage information.
Approximate location
We may derive an approximate location from your IP address. You can limit precise location collection through your device or browser settings where applicable.
Cookies and similar technologies
We and our partners use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to operate the Platform, remember preferences, measure performance, and understand how people use our services. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling cookies may limit some features.
How we use information
We use personal information to:
- Provide, operate, and improve the Platform (Jobs, Community, Academy, and related tools);
- Create and maintain your account and profile;
- Match hospitality professionals with roles and surface relevant opportunities;
- Facilitate messaging, community participation, and learning content;
- Process transactions and send related confirmations;
- Send service, security, and product updates;
- Respond to support requests and enforce our terms;
- Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents; and
- Comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information.
How we share information
We may share information with:
- Other users, according to your profile and privacy settings (for example, public profile fields and community posts);
- Service providers that help us run the Platform (hosting, analytics, email, payments, authentication, and customer support);
- Professional advisors and authorities when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security; and
- A successor entity in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.
AI Concierge and Third-Party AI Services
- MAJC offers an AI-powered Concierge feature to help you with job matching, career guidance, and questions about your account. When you use this feature, we share relevant information from your account — including your profile details, job matches, application activity, and the content of the messages you send — with our third-party AI service provider(s) (currently OpenRouter, which routes requests to underlying AI model providers) in order to generate a helpful, personalized response.
- We ask for your permission before this data is shared, and you can decline — the rest of the app, including job browsing and your profile, remains fully usable without using the AI Concierge. This data is used only to generate your response; it is not used to train third-party models beyond what is necessary to answer your request, and it is not shared with these providers for advertising purposes. We require our AI service providers to protect your information consistent with this Privacy Policy.
Account deletion and data retention
Account deletion. You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Danger Zone. When you do, we immediately deactivate it and remove it from public view — your profile, matches, and community activity stop being visible to other users and you can no longer sign in.
We retain the underlying account record so we can comply with legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, and dispute-resolution obligations and restore your account if the deletion was a mistake. We do not currently run an automated purge that erases deleted account data after a fixed number of days.
To request permanent erasure of your data, contact us at privacy@majc.ai. We will delete it from our active systems, with residual copies aging out of encrypted backups thereafter. You may request a copy of your data before deleting.
Your choices
- Account and profile: Review and update profile information in your account settings.
- Marketing email: Unsubscribe using the link in any marketing message or by contacting us.
- Cookies: Adjust browser settings to limit or block cookies.
- Data access and export: Email privacy@majc.ai to request a copy of personal information we hold about you.
Children
The Platform is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
