Overview

The Post Oak Hotel is seeking a Front Desk Supervisor to join the only double Forbes Five-Star Hotel in Texas. We hire passionate and professional colleagues who genuinely delight our guests through curated and authentic experiences.
The Front Desk Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Front Office, ensuring a seamless, personalized, and Forbes Five-Star guest experience. This role leads by example, delivering exceptional service standards, supervising team members, and maintaining operational excellence aligned with luxury hospitality benchmarks.

Responsibilities

Supervise daily operations of the Front Desk, Bell, and PBX teams, ensuring efficient check-in/check-out processes and seamless guest flow.
Train, coach, and motivate staff to uphold service excellence while fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
Conduct routine inspections of lobby, public areas, and guestrooms to ensure exceptional cleanliness, maintenance, and overall presentation.
Monitor occupancy levels and oversold situations and manage room inventory to maximize room revenue opportunities.
Coordinate with housekeeping, engineering, and other teams; lead daily briefings and maintain awareness of VIP arrivals and hotel events.
Address guest concerns and operational challenges promptly and professionally, ensuring positive outcomes and service recovery.
Act as Manager on Duty when required, making informed decisions in high-pressure situations while maintaining luxury service standards.
Ensure all interactions meet Forbes luxury standards by providing personalized, anticipatory service and creating memorable guest experiences.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in Luxury or Forbes preferred.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, Proficient with computers, including spreadsheets and word processing. Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data, and basic arithmetic functions.
Must speak, read, write and understand English
Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays is required.
Physical demands: Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.
