The #1 Priority of this position is…
To assist the Director of Food Services in planning, organizing, directing, staffing, leading, controlling, coordinating the dining room, bar, training staff and inventory control.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Scheduling and supervising dining room waiters and waitresses.
Assist with orientation and training of new waiters and waitresses.
Maintain standards for safety, sanitation, storage of food supplies and banquet supplies.
Interact courteously and tactfully with managers, coworkers, customers, vendors, residents and resident family members.
Ability to promote and execute our culture of “Yes”.
Qualifications
High school degree or equivalent (GED).
Experience in food service and in supervising dining room staff.
Ability to speak, read & write English with good comprehension. Spanish preferred.
Basic math skills required.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of the restaurant service; health, sanitation and safety requirements.

Flexible as to work schedule. Must be available to work on weekends, holidays and in emergency situations
Must be able to work under pressure and multi-task.
Strong Leadership skills.

Demonstrate excellent verbal communications, interpersonal skills and empathetic listening.
Exhibit an enthusiastic and friendly personality that has aptitude for working with a variety of people.
