THE JOB:
As an on-call Barista at New York New York, you will be responsible for setting the stage for the guest experience with your welcoming smile and service. While you will primarily support operations at Starbucks, you may also have the opportunity to work at 48th & Crepe based on business needs. By understanding each guest’s unique story and needs, you will take ownership of their experience to create WOW memories they will carry with them far beyond their stay with us.

THE STARTING RATE: $20.7803 hourly

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Take and place orders, and serve and garnish food and drinks efficiently and accurately in the work area as applicable 

• Collect money while following all proper cash handling and comp procedures 

• Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and the appearance of the front and back of house; clear tables and counters; sweep and maintain the cleanliness of the dining area without interfering with guest comfort 

• Pack and complete orders as per guests’ preferences, including any necessary condiments 

• Properly label and date products per safety and sanitation procedures 

• Perform opening and closing duties based on shift assignment 

• Unload warehouse orders and stock them in designated storage areas while maintaining organization; stock and replenish products as needed in workstations, counters, tables, etc 

• Resolve guest complaints within the scope of authority; otherwise, refer matters to management, and notify a supervisor and/or Security of all unusual events, circumstances, missing items, or alleged theft 

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Must be 18 years of age or older 

• 1+ years of prior relevant experience as a food handler in a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant environment preferred 

• Prior relevant experience in a coffee shop or similar fast-paced environment preferred
